Chloe Marin was lucky. She was just a teenager when a party at a Florida beachside mansion turned into a savage killing spree and she was one of the few to survive. Ten years later, Chloe's works as a psychologist specializing in art therapy to help traumatized victims, and on the side she finds release in her passion for the martial arts. The current disappearance of a young swimsuit model ranks low on the cops' priority list. Everyone assumes the girl has run off for some fun in the sun, instead of getting ready for a photo shoot. Everyone but Chloe, who suspects a killer is using the modeling agency to stalk his prey. When the ghost of the model appears, asking Chloe for help, she knows that she has to do everything she can.
So does Luke Cane, a British ex-cop-turned-PI investigating the disappearance of the model on behalf of her father. Chloe and Luke have trouble trusting each other but they can't help their strong attraction for each other. Luckily, they agree on the important things someone needs to find those missing girls, and if a few laws have to get bent so lives can be saved, too bad.
When Chloe arrives late for an appointment at the modeling agency, she discovers a gruesome mass murder eerily similar to the one she witnessed a decade ago - and can't help thinking that if she hadn't run late she would have been there when the killer arrived. Ten years ago, she hadn't been convinced the police had identified the real killers and now she's sure of it. The same evil mind is behind the current murders, and she's afraid she's the target....

Heather Graham has done it again! Great characters, great story line and, of course, great paranormal touches. This one has it all, and made it hard to put the book down. I have almost all of Heather's books, and this one makes a great addition to my collection.If I had any negative comments to voice it would be in editing, or the printing format. Several times throughout the printing, words were broken up, which made the reader pause and reread the sentence. I assume it was done for spacing purposes, or paragraph formatting, but, I found it slightly annoying. You can't take an established character from previous books (Blackhawk) and make him Black hawk in this book. I can handle ghosts, and mystery, but, not bad printing, it only messes with my head!! For that reason alone, I gave it 4 out of the possible 5 stars.

I enjoyed this book and can recommend it. It was typical of this author. Good romance story without too much sex. Some suspense and a little action. I enjoyed the characters.
Ms. Graham absolutely entertains me with her stories. They always have interesting characters and storyline, a nice amount of suspense, and maybe a little paranormal. I recommend book and author.
This was a great story from beginning to end! I didn't really catch on who was doing the killing until the book was almost over. Luke and Chloe make a great pair, hope we get to see them again!!
The poor editing makes this story difficult to rank enjoy. The story has promise though it wasn't paced as well as I like.
I find it rare that I am able to put a Heather Graham book down once I get into reading it. It usually hooks me at the first few pages and by the first chapter I really hate to put the book down to get anything else done even sleep! I have yet to find a Heather Graham book that I did not read all the way through, I have at times stopped reading a book due to lack of interest BUT NOT WITH HEATHER GRAHAM books. I have to say she is one of my favorite authors and I have read most all of her books and eagerly await the next one. I will often go online to see when the next book will be out so I can get it. Her paranormal series are phenominal and very well researched and her ability at writing material that captures the readers attention and holds it throughout the book is simply amazing. I will buy her books until I get disappointed in one and I rather doubt that happening any time soon. Wanda Kerns
Heather Graham books are my favorite. I am a go back and read again, keep her books in a collection. I have a few authors that I have been reading for as long as they have been producing and she is one of them. If you have not read them and like mystery, a little paranormal at times and romance I think you can find something you will enjoy.
Only made it to page 50. Maybe one day I'll finish, but the editing is driving me nuts. "Presumably" is one word, as is "lieutenant". The prologue was pretty awesome...which is why there's 2 stars but I cannot handle the editing.
