This is one of those books that you don't want to stop reading until it's finished. This memoir by a very successful Korean immigrant is endearing. It's purpose is a sort of self help/how to, but there are many other life lesson gems throughout. It painted a very detailed picture in my mind on what it was like to grow up in a depressed country. There's love, heartbreak, determination and many anecdotes we all need in this day in age, as well as tools that everyone can use to live healthy and become successful. She came here with nothing and carved her path, mastering health and wealth along the way- and wants every American to know they have everything they need to do the same. I highly recommend. Included is a list of vegetables and their medicinal qualities which I found very useful.Product details

Inspirational book about becoming financially secure in America and coming from nothing to achieve success and wealth by being disciplined in spending and life decisions, a great read. As a CPA, I recommend this to anyone getting financially fit.
I have been privileged to have Ruth as a good friend for many years, always admiring her down to earth wisdom and advice. Her book shows us that through determination, gritty hard work, and disciplined saving, she was able to go from great poverty in Korea to happiness and financial security in her adopted new home. Our children would do well to read Ruth's story.
It was an interesting story about life as a Korean but thought it would give more financial advice. It also made me appreciate being born in this country. I would give between a 3 and a 4.
